Narbonne – Narbo
A city in the Occitanie region of France located nine miles from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
It was historically a prosperous cluster of harbors, one especially made for larger vessels. It is located on the Via Domitia, the first Roman road in Gaul connecting Italy to Spain. It is crossed by the river Aude. Goods could easily be transported inland on the Aude River from the boats until the 14th century when a change in the course of the river made it less reliable.
The rosemary-flower honey of Narbonne has been famous since a date lost in time.
