Tarascon in Vienne
A town in France in the Alpilles region, 14 miles south of Avignon on the left bank of the river Rhône.
Where Martha of Bethany defeated the dragon, the Tarasque, and where she is buried. It could have been a crocodile transported to a Roman amphitheater that escaped. A church, built in the form of an inverted boat at the exact location of where her house used to be, is dedicated to her in Tarascon.
